COMET P/2017 S1 = P/2010 P4 (WISE)
E. Schwab, Egelsbach, Germany, reports his recovery of comet P/2010 P4
(cf. IAUC 9161) on CCD images taken on Sept. 20.1 UT by D. Abreu with a 1.0-m
f/4.4 reflector at the European Space Agency's Optical Ground Station at
Tenerife (with measurement assistance by M. Micheli, D. Koschny, A. Knoefel,
and M. Busch); the comet showed no coma and no visible tail on a frame with a
total exposure time of 600 s. Schwab obtained follow-up images on Sept. 20.9
with an 0.8-m f/3 Schmidt telescope at Calar Alto. The astrometry is
tabulated below:

The indicated correction to the prediction by G. V. Williams on MPC 89017 is
Delta(T) = +0.15 day; the indicated correction to the prediction by S. Nakano
in the ICQ's 2017 Comet Handbook is Delta(T) = +0.08 day.
The following linked orbital elements by Williams (from 62 observations
spanning 2010-2017; mean residual 0".5) and a new ephemeris appear on MPEC
2017-S90.
