COMET P/2021 R8 (Sheppard)
S. Sheppard and D. Tholen report the discovery by Sheppard of a comet in
290 second sidereally-tracked exposures taken on Sep. 5 UT by Mauna Kea-
UH/Tholen NEO Follow-Up (Subaru) telescope (T09), noting a condensed 1".1 coma
and a straight 15" tail at position angle 240 deg. Prediscovery images were
reported to Aug. 2021. Additional reports of cometary features are as follows:
